Heres mine. Just went in yesterday! Did the Offenhauser "C" intake, Edelbrock 600 cfm carb, a Comp Cams complete cam kit (260 cam), split efi exhaust manifold, Accel Spark Plug Wires, Steel Timing Gears and a little cleanup job
Nice. That is pretty much the plan I have for mine. So far I plan on EFI manifolds, clifford intake, the same cam kit you have, and ported/polished head with a holley 600 cfm carb. Let me know how it does.
Cabby: thanks! I wish I woulda had more time bud. I feel like everything was rushed maybe it's just me.
Xj: thank you. Yes I have driven it! You definitely feel the difference when you get on it I gotta regear my differential to get even more of a holy cow effect. I members when we first started it. Man oh man what a relieve my brother in law and I took it out open headers and no hood man I felt like a hotrodder haha I punched it a couple times man it was the best and still is.
Good to see that you are around, Col Flashman. I have not read any threads lately in which you have posted. Your engine build has been mentioned in many posts.
This is actually from today with its new air cleaner
1986 Ford f150, Ford 300 i6 4.9L .20 over bore, p&p head, polished crankshaft, three angle valve job, milled head (just a clean up mill), Crower 19212 cam, crower lifter spring kit, cloyes timing gears, Offy DP intake, hedman header, Holley 600 CFM carb,
i love it waiting for it to warm up here so it could be out and about!
when i was building it.
I wanted to point out something. I believe you have your carb sitting in the wrong position. I believe it should be turned 180*, so the throttle linkage is on the firewall side. That way the primaries are on the engine side of the intake.

It sure is sitting wrong i have it sitting that way because the throttle linkage would bind up between the heater box and one time i was driving got on it and i got unexpected acceleration when i didnt want it (scary). I haven't noticed anything in driveabilty issues or performance if anything i noticed it picks up a tad better sitting this way at higher speeds. Non the less thats my reason on it sitting the wrong way.

Reason: typo
The "correct" orientation is the Offy recommendation. "I haven't noticed anything in driveabilty issues or performance..." That's the main point...practical application and at least neutral or positive results count for something.
