Pre-order visit

Stopped by my local Ford dealership this morning, to let them know that I'd be in, in about a month, to order my new 2013 FX4. They were enthusiastic....obviously. Nice to have a small town dealership, where you've bought many vehicles and they know you so well.....as well as being friends with the salesmen, owner and techs out in the shop. I get great deals and get treated well.....like family.

Love my 2011 FX4 Screw Ecoboost, but have pretty much decided to go with the 5.0 this time around. I only tow my Mustang about 4 times a year, so the Eco towing advantage won't be a huge issue. Plus, I do miss having any kind of rumble. The plan is to put the Roush exhaust on it and after break in to go with a JDM Engineering tune. They are responsible for the 500HP tune in my Mustang that came with spectacular results. I've already talked to them about it and they have tuned a ton of F150 5.0's with great results. I think they can give me Ecoboost #'s from the 5.0 and I'll have the Roush V8 rumble to go along with it.

Great! Hope it all works out for you. Check out this exhaust link...they have some videos of stock vs their exhaust. They sound pretty great!

Those people are trained to smile when you talk about buying stuff but you don't! LOL!
I can just imagine the conversation at home that night....

Salesman: Hi, honey! I'm home!
Wife: Oh, thank goodness! Did you make a sale today???
Salesman: You will not believe how my day went..... This guy comes in and says he wants to buy a truck, right? So I turn around to get the paperwork and next thing I hear is, "Well, see you next month!" and he walks out the door!

These guys know me....I've ordered and bought a lot of cars and trucks from them over the past few years. They know that I do business on my own timetable and when I say I'll be back in a month, that I'll be back in a month....they don't have to worry about getting the sale today, so that I don't go somewhere else.

Why not order it now. That would be a 30 day jump on the order. Then the anticipation wouldn't get to you !

I'm glad my truck order came in at 4 weeks, rather than 6-8, because I was chomping at the bit for my truck to arrive. Order it now, so the wait won't be so bad.

Normally I would, but my current 2011 FX4 Ecoboost is being bought by my nephew, instead of being traded in. I'll be ordering the new truck with the idea of it arriving around June 1st, which is when my nephew has indicated that he'll be in position to purchase my current truck. We've done this before and I love the idea of a great truck staying in the family. It also helps my nephew get a great, low mileage truck.
