Stupid Question

I've owned the same 1965 Ford truck for the last 18 years, and stumbled onto this site a while back. My question is what does (FE) stand for?

Stupid Question

FE engines were originally designed to be used in Fords and Edsels according to Steve Christ (How to Rebuild Your Big Block Ford). Hence, the designation, FE. The FT engine series was designated for use in Ford Trucks.

Do I win?

Stupid Question

Nah, we're nice here. What's really great about the board is that the administrators have been super-responsive to any issues involving the 0.1% who haven't been nice. They're no longer here . The group is really supportive and why not? It's not like we're in competition with each other. Instead, we have a common goal and that's to keep these survivors thriving.

Good luck.

Stupid Question

Hey Sleepwalker, welcome aboard!
One other school of though is that the "FE" also coincides with the Iron designation on the periodic table of elements, taking into account the large concentration in the block....
