Ive been spoiled by the 2000 350 4x4,only turns the hubs for low
range and one stick. I bought a 1970 4x4, do I have to lock in
the hubs for 4H? I should put it in 2H for highway driving correct?
Sounds dumb but I would rather not find something out later!
If I understand your question: Yes, you do need to get out and lock the hubs for any four wheel driving. You also must select 4wd on your transfer case as well. For highway driving do NOT use 4 wheel drive. You need to go back to 2wd. Hope this helps.
The 1970 has a spring loaded seat and it's still
way rougher than the 2000, the 2000 is a crew cab
so the 70 is actually better for those creaky
switch backs. Plus theres only a 360 beating the
4x4 stuff instead of a 525ftlb diesel ratting out
the poor 4x4 stuff. I like em both a bunch.
