Unhappy 76'-78' ignition problems

I have a 76 ford that has a 78' 351m in it and I pulled the alternator off the other day to replace a freeze plug and I also pulled the carb off to make a few adjustments, but nothing that should keep it from starting. Well once everything was hooked up properly I was unable to get the car to turnover. It cranks all day long but there is no spark from the plugs till you turn the ignition sqitch off! I tried replacing the switch as well as the module but nothing seems to be working... Has anyone ever had this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like the pick up. Mine gos out every now and then. You'll be turning the ignition over wawawawawawawa and nada till you let go of the key from start to the run position and thump thump, and thats it. It seems like it fires once or twice just as you let off. Yep that sounds so familiar. EW

Did you check all of your fuses and make sure you have the alternator wires hooked up correctly? Also check your connections/ground.

Check the wire and connections from the "I" terminal on the starter relay to the module. It provides 12 volts to the module and coil when cranking.

Yeah, that could be your problem. When stuff like this happens, check all of your wires and make sure they have good ground connections and are hooke up right..
