You can run a cheap set of driving lights, small LED lights thru a relay triggered by an ignition on wire and not have to worry about turning on your head lights.
Cheap DRL
The proper version will have them running at about 60% power and when you set your parking brake they will shut off.
I had to have them installed when I imported mine to Canada. I absolutely hate the cheep aftermarket one I had installed for $200. It turns your full lighting system on all the time and it is very hard to see the clock/radio during the day. The dealer had one available for $400 installed but they a 2-3 week wait for the part to come in. I don't know if the dealer part works any differently but I would look into it if I were to do it again.
guys just put a piece of paper over the auto light sensor and the other one for the interior and your done.....I did mine on my navigator just to have DRL

I think that only works if you have the automatic headlights..
i added trailer style LED white/backup lights in place of the stock fog lights. wired them to a relay that comes on with the ignition thus creating DRL's.
dont mind the parking lights being on, they come on when the trucks remote started.
