Random unused plug

Hi everyone. I did a search but wasn't sure quite what to search for.

Any idea what this unused plug is for?

It's a 2012 XL 250 6.2 FX4

Not really sure what its for, but its just part of the factory harness for an option you dont have. Easier than having 100 harnesses in the trucks for all variations

Hmm. I have trailer brake control already...

Perhaps the electronic shift on the fly 4x4 as mine has a yank on the floor for 4x4.

Isn't that the port for the control switch for the Flux capacitor? I think after 2009 they moved it to the dash so you didn't have to reach behind you to engange it. Some safety/ergonomic regulation ...
