Its a 2wd and i am putting in a dodge 47rh Hydraulic tranny that only needs electric signal for OD and TC lock-up. BTW, the tach signal is necessary for the AC compressor clutch unless i want to run it with a manual switch.
The Dodge trucks use the tone ring on the ring gear for VSS. Can you pick up off of the one on the rear end of your truck? You could use something like a Dallas Mustang speedcal for the speedo signal.
There should be a tach adapter available for the 4BT but if the truck was a COP I wonder how that would get tied in. I should look at my shop manuals when I get a few minutes.
Could you use something like a Quarterhorse to turn off any codes for the MAF or disconnected O2 sensors?

I've got a balancer off of a 5.9 with the tach sensor mounted to read it for the dodge pcm (control tranny only). I have a tone wheel bolted to the front of the balancer that will allow my stock ford crank sensor to read the RPM. This is a pretty cheap fix for the stock tack to work instead of having to purchase a gauge, converter etc. and then have to make sure it is calibrated. The tach will "think" the gasser is running. I'm not familiar with the abbreviation COP nor the quarterhorse stuff. I'll check into it. Thanks for the help.
