Honest Craiglist Seller--OT because it's a Ch#@%

Read the description. I wish more sellers were just simply honest like this. I thought you guys might need a good laugh on a late Friday night after a long week.

Lately I have seen a lot of junk ,all makes, on our local Craigs list. It's always back in the mountains , out in the desert or stacked up on and old farm. The all seem to think they have the last one made and price it like gold, when most of it is poor quality scrap metal.__

Sadly, with the overall rise in local scrap prices, the value of "usable" stuff has risen also. It has also led to some (not all) thinking there precious swiss cheese metal is worth more. I look at 3-4 "projects" per week in the midwest. Most of the vehicles should have been towed to the local scrap yard a few years back. Some people just can't get rid of vintage no matter how far gone it is. At least this CL poster was putting the word out and was trying to be upfront. Tired of looking at mid-60 Mustangs that "just need a little work". I guess $25,000 is a "little" work. lol Enjoy the Saturday afternoon.

You guys all disappoint me. If this was the HAMB you guys would be all over it drooling.

Those guys over there crack me up. They're always dragging some rusted piece of metal out of the brush planning to make it into a "traditional" hot rod. There was a guys a few years ago all excited because he found a 5 window something in a ravine somewhere. He hired a tow truck to pull this piece of rusted tin foil something like 250 feet up the side of the ravine. He posted pictures of the whole operation. Once he got it up the only part that resembled the original car was part of a quarter panel. He was so proud and the HAMB members congratulated him not stop for finding and saving such a great piece of old iron. Some times you just have to let it go.

It's not the inn at the end of the road but the trip that makes the journey worthwhile. For some bravehearts the journey is just a bit longer...

I suppose if you were to take a chassis... and plop that rust bucket on top, toss in a lawn mower engine, the kitchen sink, a lawn chair, and some axles... you would have one hell of a RAT rod...
