Hey I'm new to the forum. I have a 2000 f150 stepside ext. cab lariat with a 5.4. I was thinking of changing the exhaust. I was looking toward the cherrybomb extreme si/so being dumped. But many people are telling me to get flowmaster. Any advice? Can also have pictures or videos of your systems?

if your looking for sound or video...get on You tube and do some searching, there is quite a lot on there.
but it is a lot of personal preference of what you want and tolerate.

Magnaflow , I'm not reallya fan of flowmaster but check out jegs or summit . Depends on how much bling bling u wanna spend . I wish I did full duals .might here n just do cats no muffler . But go with your first thoughts, u wanna do some cherry bombs, but not sure if u want the dump for loudness or performance? I'd just get some highflow cats magnaflow have them X then duals no mufflers or cherry bombs n headers cats n headers is what does it n good tips . Others might say yeah or neigh but wut sound you looking for hot rod mustang or idle dragster

There are a ton of threads on exhaust systems. I don't know what you want to spend, but the cheapest route is doing just what you said and replacing the muffler. With the factory cats and the Y pipe, your not going to get much sound. Even if you straight pipe after the Y pipe it won't be super loud because the cats muffle so much sound. How much were you wanting to spend, and what were you looking to get out of your exhaust system?

Just remove stock muffler with straight pipe n buy a chrome tip .your going to need atleast $300-$500 to do cat back but not too sure on much gains .i wouldn't drop much into a new exhaust unless u do alll new from headers to tips high flows duals n x looking at $1600 n u want cai if u dont .so i I wouldn't worry too much, go simple.or save up for shift supposed to help life of trans , includes a tranny fllush filter change then go from there
