kper05, I know you predicted this when you responded to one of my posts back in January.
Sorry to hear about your failure. Hopefully Ford will cover everything.
Good luck.
The redesigned turbo dont mean much as. Rucheji went 120, 000 with old one motor granaded everything relaced with 2012. Then cant remember like 20, 000 miles new turbo blew..it will all work out in the end.
I'm still traveling so my responses are lacking.
Here's what I know so far.
The dealer says my turbo is fine from a hardware standpoint.
For some reason, the computer disabled my turbo (say what???) and threw the code.
The service manager was planning to give me a few notes when I return but won't be able to see him until next week.
There apparently is a TSB on this so a flash is supposed to fix it.
So, I don't really understand what happened other than the tech has been driving it and the issue has not returned after the update.
I don't know which module was flashed or what the TSB is so I hope to get these details later.
I'm kind of disappointed my turbo didn't have hardware failure since I now have the same one.
The noises can't be good but I'll keep driving it until it does fail, IF it fails.
Also had the left mirror motor give out so they replaced that.
$100 for my ESP plan to cover that, which they said was $1,100 (I guess I got an entire new mirror?).
ESP has almost paid for itself already.
Too bad it wasn't the right one, I cracked the side light when I forgot to fold them in backing into the garage one evening a few months ago; my brain wasn't working.

True statement. My original engine dropped a valve and blew. In 10/12 my engine was replaced with a new long block and exhaust system. The replacement engine has been good except that the turbo bearing started going out making a medium loud whine during deceleration. So, with 20,000 miles on it, it failed. I now have another 2012 turbo running. It's got 8,000 miles on it so far and I think it's fine. My truck has 148,000 on it. 28,000 on the new motor, 8,000 on the new turbo. Things are getting harder to keep track of!
I've been running rotella T6 for a while now (since 10/12) and I'm not sure it's really any better than anything else. It is cheaper than the Motorcraft blend though.
Luckily, I have not ever experienced a sensor failure. That would really suck....

CS DRIVER'S SIDE POWER FOLD MIRROR IS INOP. CHECK AND ADVISE.
DIAG AND PPT MIRROR. REPLACED MIRROR.

I can't find the PDF of this online.
If no one has found it by next week, I'll scan the two pages the service manager provided to PDF, at work.
This fix is only valid under new vehicle warranty or emissions warranty.
So it would suck not having the ESP and having to pay for a coding flaw Ford has had since these job 1's left production.
And for Savage in case he doesn't believe me...

Reason: Edit: typo
I just traded my 2011. Just before I went to the dealer to pick up my new truck I backed out of the garage & hit the switch to fold my mirrors out the left side would not work. I had to play with it to get it to work. Tried my key fob also & it wouldn't work either. Tried again later & it was O.K. I think my 2011 was possessed. It was a Job 1, built March 2010. When I picked up my 2013 the salesman was explaining how roadside assistance worked. I told him he didn't have to explain because I had recently used it a couple of times when my truck failed to start. Hope I don't need it for the 2013.
I didn't buy the extended warranty but will on my new truck. Don't want to pay $1,000.00 for a mirror. Good luck with your truck. Hope this is the last of your troubles.
Well, hopefuly last of issues for at least a little while.
I fiddled with that mirror for 10 minutes thinking I could get it to reset but the motor sounded weak.
The service manager said he tried to get it working two days later but eventually the motor just gave out and only the passenger mirror was working.

My truck had been sitting for a few weeks when it happened. I washed it the last time I used it so it may have been frozen. It was just below freezing when it happened. May or may not be a weak motor. It doesn't matter now.
