Hello,
I recently sought to buy new flange-head bolts for the timing cover on my 5.0 and was surprised to see that almost no one carries these in lengths longer than 3". Not even McMaster-Carr. ARP does have the sizes we need for this application, but only in packs of five. It turns out the Ford timing cover sets they offer are not relevant to our trucks (not all the fasteners in those kits are the correct length). I was almost ready to give up when I stumbled across the vendor in the title. They have the ARP bolts individually, which is a huge help for a lot of us. Now, to see if they actually have them! I placed an order for stainless hex-head bolts last night. The price wasn't bad at ~30.00 with shipping. Sometimes this issue comes up, which is why I though I'd post this information...If all my sizes end up being correct (I estimated the lengths based on a new cover and pump I intend to install) I'll post them to hopefully serve as a reference for anyone else doing this job.

Thanks for posting the link. I somehow had it in my head that we weren't supposed to do that.
One lasting aspect of my search the other day for these bolts was the observation that it's absolutely amazing how little these HUGE hardware stores actually carry. It's really come to bug me...it just makes no sense how time and time again I have to order stuff online.

I have some Ace Hardware stores near me that are pretty decent, I generally go to the big-box stores only when I have to....
