I switched to Ford in 95 and never looked back. I know my old iron though and had a load of fun doing it... We could have the engine and trans out, back in, up and running in 45 minutes. I kept a spare 402 and trans in the shop for such an occasion. Hard to do that today....
Keep it simple, Daddy and RED are going for a ride......
My daughter has suggested....Reba.
Originals had a protect-a-plate, build sheets under the seating, hard to find now if someone had been through it. Roll the rear truck lid deck seal down and you find Vins stamped in the body, doors are Vin numbered, frame rails and other places.
Yep. And the original sale bill / invoice.
The price of cars have gone up and not just due to inflation. Just over $ 4,000 in 1970 now over $ 24,000 in 2013.
Thought ya'll might enjoy this old invoice. The fold/crease obscures some of the pricing and I used a bit of white-out on the original buyer's name and VIN....
opened fine here. pretty loaded SS for its' day. Keith, oddly enough I found about 60 8 track tapes while clearing the attic saturday. Early Chicago, Blood sweat and tears, santana etc, mostly classic rock. I can PM a list if u decide to keep the 8 track. Tell me what you want and I'll send it to ya. In exchange for a future whiskey drink of course.

Not to impose myself here, but if you two have a whiskey get together, I very much would like to be there too! It should be at a place where no one has to drive till next morning at the earliest!
When that happened the tape was usually folded like an accordion inside the player.
Wasn't much you could do at that point but throw it away and go buy another copy of ABBA's greatest hits........................
They were actually repairable although you lost a few seconds of music...but then again you lost a few if the song lasted thru a track change. I had a 67 Cougar that (to be cool I guess) I soldered a resistor and a momentary contact switch so I could change tracks from the armrest in my door.
In that collection I found, there's an Englebert Humperdinck that HAD to belong to some chick I must have been dating at the time.
