C6 question
Will a C6 out of a 1986 F250 4X4 be a direct fit for a 1985 F250 4X4?

Not sure, but I don't know why it wouldn't. 85 has the same trans dosen't it? Both 4x4, makes since. Someone smarter then me will post shortly I'm sure.

as long as it is a diesel trans it will be the same.
gas trans will not bolt up.

$200 a good deal for trans/transfer case? Mine just went out and stumbled across a used one for $200

as long as it is good that is a good price.
i paid $200 for my C6 and had to rebuild it.

Check the oil in it, see what color it is, if it's all good, and it lasts you 2-3 years, you'll be ahead!
