Well I myself am not a fan of stacks. Personally I think they belong on big rigs and Dodges but then again I am an old guy.
Pro's: cheap exhaust system and you will be able find your truck in a Walmart parking lot.
Con's: You'll need to stack your stacks and put put huge tow mirrors on it.
It will be real easy for the cops find you in traffic and hassle you.
Rain can and will get in them unless you have caps or flappers.
Basically it boils down to personal taste.
Glad I am not the only one. They almost make me angry every time I see them on a pickup. Maybe a 550, but I still dont think I would have them on one of them.
and your right they might go hand in hand with the type of person that would own a dodge.
Ive never like them and always kinda thought you need extreme HP to have them like 700 plus! To me stacks are for really hot tractor pull type trucks. As the others guys have stated I think theres too many cons for the one or two pros if your that kinda guy.
That said it sounds like your getting a good deal and you do indeed want them.....so pull the trigger!!
Well the main reason that I started the thead was to find pros and cons. which I have and I am always open to constructive criticism by all means from any one. because I by far am not a expert on normal diesels give me an army diesel and im good. im learning as much as I can as fast as I can and I came into this truck thinking of I work on diesels all day everyday i am good. for the most part and basic operations i am but when it comes to upgrades and what not I'm like box of rocks. that is why I really like this site cause there is alot of seasoned diesel junkies out there that can tell you That your truck wont start cause your tire is flat but back to the topic in hand I had a friend of mine say that I will loose performance by putting the stacks on I know they are going to be loud and more then likely very annoying on the interstate in the cab and like it was stated before will it cause my egt to stay the same because of the y pipe
