Hey guys ive been told i need to get the month and year of my truck verified by the manufacturer because it was imported into the UK in 1997 but was manufactured in 1983 but i cant find an email address or even a department that deals with this .any ideas
Thanks
If you still have the original door sticker in the LH door jam it will have month/date on it. Other than that, look at that other thread and contact Ford.
Theres no stickers on the truck think they were taken off when it was painted air force green in 1997 its had a few more coats of paint the years ive had it . Phone number is great if i was in USA but international calls can be expensive think e mail would be better
After an exhausting search all i can find out is that ford will send me the information but not to my address in the uk they will only post it to anywhere in the usa or canada
Great cheers ford
They will only mail it to you in the USA or Canada? Sounds like you need a volunteer to receive the info at their USA or Canada address, and then forward it on to you at your address in Scotland. But they would probably have to use their credit card with their USA address to buy the info correct? How much is it going to cost? How much does it usually cost to mail something from the US to Scotland?
On the ford gear website the sheet costs $17 but im not shure how much it costs to post a letter from the us to the uk usually goes on weight or size some of you guys have got one through the post already can you give me any idea about size an weight would think its about the size of a standard letter if someone would like to order one for me and post it on ive got a papal account or i can send money on first to cover any costs
Thanks
Look under the seat, between the springs and the foam, to see if there is a build sheet. If not, look under the carpet. The build sheet will give you all the info you need - if you can find it.
And, I'll bet that was one of the trucks I used to meet on a B road around Northwood & Rickmansworth. Seems a lot of our service personnel imported their trucks, drove them around a while, and then sold them when they were transfered Stateside. Man, they sure looked big on those little roads.
