return line question

im putting a 7.3 in a 82 f250 that had a 351 will it work if i run the return line to a tee in the fuel line between the tank and lift pump, or am i gonna have to make it return to the tank?

Just speculating, but the return side isn't designed to have suction, it may cause havoc with the injectors and/or IP.

You want it running back to the tank so it can purge the air out of the system.
