I have a 62 Unibody with a 462 Lincoln engine installed. My problem is the wires going into voltage regulator. What does the I and A stand for on the regulator? I have these 2 wires going into the cab going nowhere. I just installed 6 new guages into a custom panel I made. These 2 wires need to go somewhere and it has been so long since I worked on an external regulator that I have forgotten what these mean. I am getting this ready to go to the Detroit Autorama this weekend and doing the last detail stuff on the truck. This is not an "upstairs" truck. It is a "driver" and going in the basement.
It is important to note the I going to the Indicator light then goes to the Ignition such that the wire is energized only when the key is on. I mention this for those that are wiring the trucks without using the existing color coded wiring harness.
