Annoying fuel problem - I pulled the codes

I got one of those clever little code readers and pulled the codes, as advised by GLR & CTUBUTIS.

And as everyone knows, it's not so much what the test results are, it's how to interpret those results.

The error codes I got were:
KOEO: 63
C: 63
KOER: 23

All pointing to Throttle Position Sensor. I have one on order, so I assume the fix is a simple replacement of the TPS. Another poster said he carried one around as a spare, so I presume this isn't a difficult job.

Any other insights on these error codes would be welcome.

I would disconnect the battery before replacing it, that will let the computer re-learn the idle speed settings. I've seen weird things happen when I went and changed that part behind the computer's back, without letting it know it's been changed....

I've fixed many niggly problems caused by old age and this one is the last one... Until the next one that is!

Uh...yea I've had my share of the same problem a log while back, after replacing I disconnected the battery for an hour and then had to drive it "normally" for 10 miles for it to relearn itself..oh and I also changed the fuel filter (round cardboard type in a canister around the drivers side in the frame rail..be sure to use a lube on the gasket as they have a habit of deforming if its not in there right or it's too tight)...
