tailgate swap

I was thinking about swapping out my tailgate for one off an f150. With the soft top I dont need to lug around the heavy stock one withe the window in it. will an f150 one fit and function the same?

Absolutely not. The Bronco gate is physically thicker and the striker bolts are not in the correct location for the F-150 tailgate.

Dang, it to much work to gut the whole thing especially if i might go to hard top for the winter.
