Hi y'all I'm going to rent an Edge this Wednesday! To go see my Son PIR from Navy Bootcamp this Friday! I was going to drive my truck but I don't want to put all them miles to Great Lakes, it's 957 miles from my house. I'm not sure if they will give me the Ecoboost or the V6, Budget is pretty good about giving you the top of the line! So I'm thinking the Eco boost, how my miles do you think I can get out of a tank! I don't have a heavy foot lol!! I plan on running 70-75 mph!!
Edge is a heavy crossover. The econo boost does better in a lighter vehicle. Depending on the speed and level ground, it can do very little better, to a couple MPG better than the V6. THe 4 cyl is very small.

I agree with Steve...The Ecoboost was a big let down if you need power and that's coming from an 07 Edge SEL.
We test drove the Ecoboost first just to see what it was like and I turned around at the second light because my wife said it felt like a Honda.(grin)
