help please!

This morning my truck (95 PSD) starting and ran fine for the first 15 minutes. Then it started and still is shaking during accelerating. It does it really bad in a high gear. From like 40 miles an hour trying to accelerate it shakes real bad. Feels like like of acceleration too. Even from a stop when I start to go it shakes but not as bad when the rpms are high. I even noticed this morning after this happened when I popped the hood. Theres blow by coming out of the dip stick tool with the dip stick still in it. It never did any of this before plz help!

Sounds like a bad VC gasket or UVCH to me. Check all your connections to the VC harness.

Thanks for the reply . If those are the problems can I ruin my injectors if I drove it?

I had a very similar problem a few years back it turned out to be the CPS but I don't believe I had the dipstick blowby though, but may have? Anyway might be an easy swap if you have one just to see.

On each valve cove you'll see two plugs. Unplug them and look for burnt plugs or pins

Here is the Ford PN (F6TZ-12K073-A) I believe you want the black connector style not the gray ones which had known issues. I think Napa sells a preferred one as well?

It is pretty easy to change out a lot quicker then removing the VC, etc. Unless I am sure of my problem I try to do the easier stuff first. If the CPS does not fix the problem you now have a spare to carry with you.

Hope this helps....

Hey I have another question. Is there another fuel filter screen besides the one inside the fuel bowl?

There's one in the regulator where it connects to the bowl that often gets clogged and one in the black canisters off the regulator too if I remember right. Really just screens. Does it feel like it is starving for fuel. Shakes don't make me think it is a fuel delivery issue as much, but I could be wrong. Timing seems more likely which is why the cps might be a good start. Just my .02

It kinda shakes at idol. But when I go to take off as the rpms get higher it smoothes out. But during the low rpms it shakes bad. Really bad once I hit 40mph. It feels like its lacking power as well. But I can still get it up to freeway speeds. Just a lot of shaking and stomping on the throttle

So you probably need to answer some of the basics...any smoke? Oil level? Have you changed anything lately? Did u check the vch as suggested above? Someone much smarter than me will chime in but probably want all that type of info too.

No it doesn't smoke. Oil level is normal. The last thing I changed was the bottom hose going from the bottom of the fuel pump to the bottom of the fuel filter housing that was leaking...ran fine yesterday all day and has been until this morning
