Still stunned at the number of people that volunteer they are 'on the bottle'

It's cumbersome, troublesome, expensive, and can be messy for the more dainty of us trying to handle a bulky 2.5 gallon bottle...

go by the truck stop every once in a while and use their standard def pumps @ $2.79 / gal...

Perhaps that irrelevant suggestion would help out someone else, or the AZ guy could have been playing in the snow on vacation. Who knows

My point was to (nicely) indicate that detailed information upfront will get you the best answer. My answer was completely irrelevant based on where he was having the issue. Had I know it wasn't freezing temperatures where the OP was, I wouldn't have suggested it as a reason. It was still freezing temps where some of us were at the time of the post.

I understand completely, I live in Florida but just spent 3 weeks in Michigan UP, all I'm saying is you time was not wasted in giving your insight. I had no idea about freezing DEF but now I do thanks only to your post.

I've also had the same problem as you,I hit the bottom of the tank and it started to go in after that... Not sure what the blockage was.. I installed a lock on my fuel door to keep the vandals away...

Since it's winter, you don't want to over fill but you have to get it full enough to trip the full sensor.
If it was filled and still said under half after awhile, then it wasn't filled enough.
The tank only knows full, under half and then will eventually begin the 800 MTE countdown.

I dont think I even have a half full indicator. The message center just comes on when I have 500 miles to fill. It came on the other day and today I drove by the truck stop and it said 3 hundred and something till I was limited on MPH, but it would only hold 2 gallons. Not sure what gives there???
