i was mildly stuck ina back alley in 2 ft of soft snow.
1st attempt to spin out in reverse didnt work.
idled forward again and gave it even more gas in reverse.
it worked i flew out of the snow and was heading toward the neighbors fence across the back ally, so i went to slam on the brakes but they didnt work.
more specifically the truck was probly still spinning in reverse and when i went to hit the brakes the pedal was rocksolid at the top of its movement and would not budge until i released the pedal and tried again.
by this time the wheels mustve stopped spinning and the brake pedal went down and engaged normally.
this is something different than the groaning bumpy brake pedal feel you get when the antilocks kick in.
it was rock solid and not moving?
weird freak accident or some kind of antilock brake interlock or something?
No, actually this happens quite frequently. When you get stuck, first move all the beer bottles away from the pedals one just rolled under the brake when you went backwards. (Don't tell the wife or the lawyer!).

Hate it when that happens ! At least I ain't the only one ! LOL
I would lean towards the freak accident. From what your describing I can't come up with a better explanation.
However, if it were me, I would pull the wheels and inspect the brakes thoroughly to make sure nothing was compromised and it want going to happen again. Something could be wrong under there and that was your warning.
