Moment of reflection
Every time I think I'm getting fed up with all the break downs, cost for repairs, and over all building of my rides. I'll be driving or getting gas and people will be all over giving thumbs up or wanting to buy them. It doesn't matter if it's the Vette or the truck, I've been driving the truck all week because the Vette is in the shop. People are speeding up (pretty sad the have to catch up to an old truck) to give big thumbs up. This makes it all WORTH it, oh the joy it brings. No one else understands this but us car enthusiast, thanks, and hope ya'll all feel the JOY!!!!!!!!! L8R ZFLASH

I hear ya, just like a home, your never done, always something goes wrong or you want to make it better, that's what hot rodding is all about.
Took the truck out for gas last week when the weather finally cooperated, people were blowing their horns at cars at the light because they were starring at my truck in the station instead of going when it turned green, YES, it's all worth it.

Hey Z,
I hear you. My 21 year old son Zack is up at Baylor & he wants the truck so bad. "It's a chick magnet dad! They honk & they all want to ride in it..."
I'm not sure why Zack feels his Malibu Maxx isn't attractive...
He's getting the F1 this weekend for a few weeks & doesn't know it - the smile on his face ...

Back a few months ago in warmer weather I was driving Dad's 27 Model T Touring (stock car) in town and a car with several college cuties pulled up next to me at the light. One of them said "Nice car, can we have a ride?". I had my stepsons in the car so the Angel on my right shoulder prevailed over the devil on my left shoulder and I nodded, smiled and drove away...

I've noticed when I'm out and about that people are generally in a hurry (except the ones in front of me), not really payin attention to what they are doing, a somewhat sour or serious expression on their face, and just going thru the motions en route from one place to another. Then I'll be out in my 29 Model A and I see people looking, and pointing, and smiling, giving the thumbs up and generally appearing to enjoy life. I see the same scenario play out again and again with these old trucks and cars. Let's get out and drive these things! It's the kind of therapy America needs.

Ran errands yesterday. Get lots of thumbs up. An old man, passenger in a minivan, points and smiles. Kid at the gas station runs over and asks if he can take pictures. I have a standard statement I make. It's a 1948, first year for the F series. It was junk when I bought it, took six years to get on the road. First new ford truck introduced after the war. Depending on the age of the person, they either nod their head knowingly or ask, "what war?.
