The report says "valve train", I wonder is there nickle in the rocker arms. I don't think so but they are a common point of failure on 6.4s and I think you said you were at 136,000. Might be worth asking them what part of the valve train.

so what are some recommendations? looks like the main concerns are Nickel and Iron. it states that Nickel could be found in camshafts, valve trains, turbo cam plates, turbine blades and roller bearings. what would the Iron all be found in? also i seen another sample from Blackstone on here that they stated low silicon levels show good filtration. maybe i need a new air filter also? maybe ill change the oil slightly sooner and send a sample to Blackstone see if they concur with these findings on the next sample. do you guys think they would take a copy of this sample to know some history of the previous sample?

I feel sure they would, just stick it in the tube with the rest of the paperwork and a note telling them what you want. I still think I'd be coincerned about the rocker arms. Don't know any way to check that though except pull the valve covers off and take a look.

You can shine a light and look into the fill tube but the only way to really check is the pull the valve covers.

i was just thinking if i had towed on that oil and remember that we took it snowmobiling up in iron river wiscosin so like 600 miles round trip of towing a v nose 4 place snowmobile total weight at around 19000# driving 80mph and on the way back into a strong wind gusts in 30mp. now i know this is not many miles of the oil change but that that could be considered heavy right?

Sure it's heavy, but every engine put into these trucks is designed to do just that. I've never heard of seriously increased wear metals caused by towing. Going with that, I've never heard of anyone's engine life reduced by towing either. Wide-open, all day long, you shouldn't hurt it.
