So I got the truck (1999 F-250, V-10) running. Changed battery, cables, and checked all grounds. It will start up just fine, then once it reaches operating temp and the computer goes closed loop..... it dies. The O2 are off the chart while running. No codes are stored. Help..
I'm a diesel guy so lets see.
Do you have any way to watch the live data from the system?
Also a flowchart may help to see what goes into effect once
(X) temp is reached then look at what is not used before that
point and you may have a place to start looking.
Wished I could help more. This will also bump you back up too.
Its going to the top of the chart and flat lining. Won't go up or down. Then when it reaches temp. Truck shuts down and is over loading with fuel. No codes. Let it sit cool and will start up again. Is it the PCM?
so the guy I bought the truck from 5 years ago neglected to tell me he chipped the truck.... After $500 bucks and hours of looking. Problem solved. Removed the chip and she runs perfect.
