Any of you guys running one of the K&N Air intakes? I am thinking of running one just mainly to replace that factory air box and those expensive filters. I have always used on my 7.3 and 6.0 with good results.

I run an aFe cold air intake and it seems to do well. The factory air filters are not that expensive for the 6.7's though. I do like hearing the turbo spool a bit with the CAI. I'd steer clear of K&N. They are far better marketers than filtration experts in my opinion.
It is an oil filter... It lets in more dust/dirt into your motor. The reason it has more "flow" is b/c it dn filter the air as well. Also the oil will leak into the intake and if your vehicle has a maf it will oil up the sensors quite nicely. This isn't a good thing either.
All of that extra air that the k&n lets in also lets in dirt. If you ever get a chance, take a look at the turbo of a truck that has had a k&n on it for an extended period the impeller will look sandblasted.
