Engine won't turn by hand?
I'm looking at buying a used 302, I found one, but couldn't get it to completely turn over by hand. I took the plugs out, and still I can only turn the crank about half a turn. I had a small snipe on it and still nothing, and the guys assures me when he took it out it was still running. Just wondering if I should be too woried about it.

Yes, you definately would need to be able to turn that engine over by hand for sure. You might have a check to make sure the starter drive is not caught in the ring gear...it is rare but does happen. I think you said that it turned over about a half a turn and stopped. If that is the case check the tranny as well to make sure the torque convertor bolts are not tying it up. These are all not likely suspects and I would be concerned about the quality of that engine.
