Cylinder Head Bolts???

Hey guys, im working on a 90 F150 5.0L, and im doing the head gaskets right now. i have felpro gaskets, and one side is had blue coloring on it, and the other is grey/blank, but both sides say front (on both gaskets) so once installed, is one supposed to look upside down compared to the other? thats my first question, but im pretty sure thats right, no big deal (unless someone says im wrong!! lol)

BUT, my other question is regarding my cylinder head bolts...my old ones did not have any washers and had very thick heads on them. my new ones, which i got through a machine shop (ARP bolts, part #154-3601) have washers for them. is this right?? or am i supposed to have bolts without washers??

thanks guys!!
Andrew
