302 EGR valve

302 EGR valve
When I got a new EGR valve, the one that attaches to the plate, I noticed it came with a package of discs that fit in the valve in a little recess. They have different hole sizes, from fairly large at 7/16" to a pinhole.
Which size is appropriate for a 302 with a Comp cams 268 and Holley 600 cfm 4 bbl, and 9.7/1 compression due to replacing the stock dished 8.0/1 pistons for flat tops?
Also the temperature vacuum switch to control it has 2 ports, which one goes to the vacuum source and which one to the valve?
Does the EGR use ported vacuum like the spark advance, or straight vacuum?
Thanks.
