Question EGR Valve 302 2v

Ive got a 74 f100 302 2v. The Egr valve does not work. If I take it off and block the holes, What do i do with the vacuum lines? Do I plug them or connect them somewhere else? Any help would be appreciated.

It should be pulling vacuum from the base of the carb, so no worries just slipping on a vacuum cap. But, there's a big EGR opening in the manifold that is exposed without the EGR plate isn't there? You're better off buying or fabbing a plate to block it off where the valve bolts on.

I plan on making a plate to go where the egr valve was. My vacuums dont go to the carb. They all go to the intake. Could that be why its not working. Are the vacuum lines hooked up wrong.

do what i did; pound out your own gasket but dont pound out the ports in the gasket and put it back together! my EGR valve was leaking and caused some bad idle/vacuum so i said "screw it" and plugged it. runs good, no leaks or stuff to worry about.

What needs to be done with the wiring & the electric/vacuum valves?

The EGR should be pulling manifold (unported) vacuum anyway. There's usually two vacuum connections on the carb - a ported one for the vacuum advance and unported for the EGR.

mine has no wiring. just vacuum lines to the intake manifold.
