Hey i've seen a lot of guys talking about swapping zf5 tranny's into their older fords. I recently found a new possibility - the m5r1 or m5r2 transmissions. Is this a possibility? I have a 300 i6 and i've found that it has the same bolt pattern as any other ford small block ex 302, 351w. I have also found that the m5r2 has the same bolt pattern as the 302, ergo - my motor. Can anybody with a little more knowledge about these transmissions tell me how stuff would bolt up?
