Differential question.
I want to swap my open rear differential for a traction lock I've been looking at ebay for a while and i mostly just see 28 or 31 spline traction locks for a ford 8.8 rear end. Is there anyway I can tell how many splines i have without pulling the axle? Possibly in the vin or the axle tag?

The truck 8.8's use 31 spline axles.

X2 31 spline, make sure it has the tone ring for the VSS.

you have to pull the axles to setup the the trac loc anyway.
