I would think so, as long as it's in good shape. Most of the rebuilt manuals, I've seen, go for over $1000.

Haven't seen a reman anywhere close to $1000. Mostly $1500-2000 range.

$650 seems like a screaming deal, but with 270k+ synchros...... Not without some risk.

Im with Scott. I've always felt and seen zf6's being in higher demand because they arent as common as the automatic, and people looking for them what them bad enough that they will pay close to the same as reman. Actually know a guy who put a BTS in his truck and said just him selling his manual equipment covered close to half if not more than half of the total cost...

so yes 650 is a great deal IMO but like said, comes with some risk just like buying anything used that hasnt been rebuilt.

Chris posted these up a few years ago, may be of help. I think the 4th link is what you want. I've yet to tear in to one, but I bet my time will come.

Of course the 4th file refuses to load, I'll try again later. Maybe someone else has it.

Sounds like a fair price. You can examine the input shaft for scoring where the tip rests in the pilot bearing, and pull the PTO cover to see if there's any chunks or anything in there.
