Well a little update on this thread. This all started because the hub assembly was a little loose the other day. Thought I had it tightened up, but last night something gave. When I initially was in the old autos, the retaining clip for the bearing nut retaining nut was slightly broken. Never having been inside autos before, I didn't notice this was broken. Thus, the nut kept spinning itself loose. Well it became painfully obvious today when I was in there that something wasn't right. Not being able to wait on parts as I already missed a day of work today, I robbed the manuals off my bosses IDI dump that's in my shop at the moment getting fixed. I now need to either bite the bullet and buy a new set ( to install in my truck) and put the old autos back into his truck or find a working used set to put back into his. The new set would be the best bet, but it's going to be a tough sell as I just bought tires and really need to finish my e fuel and I'm not sure the wife will go for it. Lol. The silver lining in all this is now I'm very well versed in auto and manual hubs and should be able to help anyone in the future!
