transmission swap
You'll find T-19 4-speeds in F250 and F350 trucks with 460's and diesels. You'll want the 4x4 model that takes a married transfer case.
If you have the tags off the transmission and the cast in numbers, you can google those and come up with the model number.
The code we need is off the driver's side door jam under "TRANS".
A = NP435
B = Clark-4 Speed Over Drive
F = Borg Warner T-18
P = Borg Warner T-19

so when i get a replacement trans all i will need to pull is the trans and the cross member with it. There wont be any clutch linkage issues or problems with bolting to my current bell housing and transfer case?
again thanks for the help!

EDIT
also looking back at what you said this truck originally had a 302 which is likely the reason for the odd pairing of engine and transmission.

Learn how to tell one from another if you get serious about buying a T19?

I know a lot of people like them, but I found their gear ratios a headache.
1st & reverse are very low (you have time for a coffee while reversing out of your driveway
), which is good for heavy trailers etc.But that leaves you with three driving gears, & the gap between 3rd & 4th is wide.........so if you are forced to downshift to 3rd, you can be stuck there for a long time sometimes - unable to gain enough speed to get back into 4th, or pass a slow vehicle, if you're climbing a hill.
In a flatter area than me, this is probably no problem, but I replaced it with a close ratio T19, & find it excellent.
As Alvin said, there are different T19's, you need to know what you are getting if you want a deep 1st gear. There are also non-Ford T19's which won't work.

(note, don't attempt this unless you have acreage! I'm pretty sure it'd idle itself up a tree!)

That being said, 3rd is my main go to gear in the town (dogs out in 4th)....But for more fuel efficacy I think just gotta find a ZF or something..
many other parts are good what all should i pull to sell and make a little moey??
