Ford Excursion 2002 HELP

New to forum, hopefully I am posting correctly.

My question is about my 2002 Ford Excursion 5.4 v8 Triton complete tune up done last 8/2011 when I bought it used with 98000 miles. As of Saturday it was running like a champ that afternoon it started to hesitate as I accelerated and some what starting jerking, after a few minutes it returned to normal, i did use a gas station i normally don't use. For the past 2 days it continues to occur at different speeds and accelerations. So today, I took my King of the Road to my mechanic and after a couple of hours in the shop, they called and told me they couldn't find anything wrong. It was hooked up to the computer no codes, drove fine, engine idle normal. Please help or advice. Thank you.

Intermittent problems like you describe can be maddening to try and sort out.
The problems you speak of, are they all accelerating or under heavy load?

If so might want to check your fuel filter. Change it... and take the filter and dump it into a pan and examine what comes out the input side of the filter.

Could have been water in the fuel. Try some HEET.

I don't know much about the gas Ex's but what your describing sounds exactly like the problems I had when I had bad coil packs on on my windstar.
