07 6.0 HEAVY MODS. NEED INPUT

hey guys. I got a 07 6.0. Its studded, deleted and all that. Air Dogg 2, regulatedreturn, banks techni cooler. A bunch of stuff. Anyway this this thing runs fine but it cuts out itermittily. It idles great not a missing injector. Like a steady idle then like all 8 injectors just cut out. Then idles fine. No pitch change. No nothin. This happens about evry 5 seconds. Its gotta 58v innovative ficm. So thats new. Casserly 190s, so thats new. Turbo is a secret...shhhh. So thats new. Tanks been dropped, cleaned and wat not. ... No codes. One thing though. I cant get the altenator to charge the batteries.

Yes cheezit,i went against wat u said. Ill prolly pay for it later on. I just couldnt pass up that kinda money.

Any ideas

Sounds wiring related. Check the ficm harness for chaffing and that it's fully plugged in first.

As for the alternator maybe the same thing. Have you tested it?

Sounds like a chafed FICM or injector harness.

Man i inspected every centimeter of that harness. Its almost new. Do u think a connector might be loose? No,that wud throw a code. Wtf! That fuel might be the issue.

Its not a miss though. It idles like a dream. It just cuts out for maybe half a second. It does it every 7 or 8 seconds. Somtimes it idles great for 5 minutes. Then starts cuttin out. Like i say, theres no change in the sound/pitch of the motor.

DashBoss, SG2 or AE would be a good start to getting data.

Can you monitor the fuel pressure? And what is "cutting out" anyway? You say that it's like all 8 injectors stop, but with no change in the sound/pitch of the engine? Two things kinda contradict each other. You need to get a way to read the cylinder contribution at the very least, also from what I understand the 58v FICM's are quite prone to failure compared to standard voltage ones so I would suspect that unless you can monitor it in real time (I also understand that you can't monitor that properly with an OBDII gauge).

Sorry guys. I failed to mention. Im the owner of Dew-It diesel performance. I specialize in the ford diesel line up. I own a snap on modis, verus,AE and not mention this truck has a sct livewire. The pids suck. But good enuff for the masses. I get on fte to get insight. Maybe somthin i missed. 1000 minds are better than one. And...after all,im human.

So anyway,no....there are no codes. Power balance test passes. BUT! There is a test that didnt pass.....the vgt boost acuation test. I cant get the vanes to open. This is a problem guys. This turbo is expeirimental. With a 1 of a kind wheel. Capable of 750HPs.. Back to the drawing board huh....

Earlier problems were attributed to a dead cell on a batter. Ive seen dead batteries do wacky chit to these trucks

Awwight guys. We got the turbo tore down and the bar that moves the vanes was stuck. Garret had a revision and went from teflon to just steel. On a high hp truck it wont work. So were going back to the old teflon coated deal. Ill post pix if i can figure out how....thanx guys
