Installed new speakers in the doors today, along with new door panels. Installed new Pyle Speakers behind the seat and ran the wiring. Installed new latch on the sliding rear window. Installed new dash mat. I decided that I am going to buy a new headliner and new sun visors because I have changed the interior from its original Camel Interior to Black. Plus the headliner that is in there is extemely bowed. Took it for the longest drive Ive taken it on so far and it ran and drove great. Looks like I need to work on the dashlights. None of the instrument lights are working but the wording on all the panels are lighting up. Im wondering if I just have a bad fuse or something. Here are a few pics of the work we did today..
If your switch lights are working but the cluster lights aren't, your problem is going to be on the back of the cluster. Either your lights are all burned out (not likely) or you have a bad connection at the printed circuit. I've cleaned up several that had corrosion on the printed circuit where the little prongs on the bulb holders are supposed to contact. I used a Q-tip and alcohol to clean them up.
Nice truck! I am considering a simialr color for mine.
GM4WALLS,
One of the things I found when I painted mine was the differnce the sealer coat color makes when you shoot the base coat over it. I used a white sealer and it really brightened up the color to almost a copper rather than a brown. I think that it had a redish brown primer used at the factory making the original color a little darker than how mine turned out. I actually like the brighter appearnce better. This color is Sequoia Brown Metalic and Wimbledon White...
