custom nerf bars
i was wondering if anyone had customized a set of nerf bars to fit on these trucks. i really like the look of the nfab with the hoop step, but unfortunatly they dont make anything that will come close to fitting our years of trucks. so i was thinking bout measure and just getting something close, but i hate to spend 400 bucks on something just to hack it up. so if anyone has made any could u post some pics or if you have custom made any kind of rocker slider or step for your truck. thanks!

I was doing the research into making a custom set of wheel to wheel nerf bars for my truck, but by the time I figured out that it would be over 2 grand to make them (stainless is spendy.....then add welding, polishing, etc.), I bagged the idea in favor of something simpler. I'm actually ok with just having a single step, as it keeps the truck looking simple, which is part of what I was after. I may again look into making a set, but it'll be a while before I pull that trigger.

I just got through putting some n-fab stainless steel nerd bars with steps onto my 75 f250 4wd. I can't remember the part number from n-fab, but they are the ones for the new f250 trucks. I had to weld the 3 mounting tabs to the weld plate on the truck then weld a kicker over to the frame at each of the three tabs. My truck has a 2" body lift and 35's and you can't see the kickers. They look sweet. I would post a pic but its at the shop

thanks for the info tundra. but unfortunatly mine is a regular cab. i guess i could try to use a crew cab or super cab set then id just have a step for the bed. but id worry bout the flex between the cab and bed.
