I ordered a pigtail (thanks, ReBilld), and I've found that the wiring colors don't exactly match up.
I have a 50/50 of getting it right, but I seem to lose with those odds. One wire looks the same (yel/red stripe), but the other is purple instead of red. Might seem incidental, but it's a van, and I really don't want to fix it twice.
Also, the plug is a somewhat different shape (see pics - old one has metal clip and a penny next to it). Visually the insertion part looks like it'll fit, but I'm still a little hesitant committing to an electrical connection yet.
That's the right one, I put one on not long ago. I thought I read it didn't matter which wire went where, but don't quote me on that. I just cut the old one off clear back near the fuel bowl at the time as all 5 of my wires in that "harness" were melted together. I eliminated the other three to the fuel bowl (when I still had it). I did however make sure my wires went to the same place. I read what I typed earlier after I did mine.
