Once watched the modified guys running at IRP (Indy Raceway Park)---they were stupid fast there. Lap times about 16 seconds, blink and they were around the track already.
Danica's a bit away from Victory Lane but my guess is she'll be there one day. Too many already think her IRL win wasn't a big deal, that it should have an asterisk by her name. Another hilarious thing...........to me anyway.
I don't have cable TV so can't watch the Twin 125's or whatever they're called these days. Honestly though since the eventual starting field is already pretty much set with all the points and other crazy crap NASCAR uses these days they don't have the same sense of urgency they once had. No big name mega-buck cars will be sent home if they don't finish high enough today---kinda sad IMHO.
I just loved listening to those race announcers today about the rookie of the year in the up series. It's the Danica and Ricky show. Well lets see here. Ricky Stenhouse, two time champ in Nationwide series. Danica Patrick in nationwide series 0. I don't think she is good enough to run the cup series and she ain't smart enough to see that she is being used for her sponsorship marketability. And if she wins, I'll look like a real ***. CB
I was disappointed to see the #21 Ford get torn up today. He had a good car. I'm hoping my driver, Keselowski, can bring home a championship for Ford this year.

I completely agree with you. I'm sick and tired of all the Danica articles. Ok, she won the pole....cool. She doubt she will win the race on Sunday, or any race this year for that matter.

And so it starts----only takes a short while before the haters roll in........
So guys what about every other new or different driver to he77 hyped out of them? I'm thinking Dale Jr, Joey Logano and a few dozen others who've also never fulfilled whatever promise the press put on them. They've have minor bits of success but certainly didn't go on to the promise so many thought they would.
I recall Marco Andretti being soooooooooo hyped in his first Indy 500 start you'd have thought Jesus himself was in that seat. Just like Danica he did well, both of them finishing in the top five of their respective years. No matter how ya slice it that's one helluva an accomplishment. And yet Danica can't drive with the elite.............WTH???
I still say only those who finish behind her--assuming she finishes, not taken out by someone else---are the real gripers, the ones acting like little girls!
I hope its a clean race, no one seriously hurt or a good running car taken out by a mess created by someone else. Well, Stewart can crash on lap #1 if possible---no tears here for that! It'll be interesting seeing how these cars handle in a pack, we'll see whose done their homework in the off season!
At any rate its all good, good thing we have 43 drivers to love or hate!
JWA, you're correct also. Some of those guys ain't worth a damn either. Back when Patrick was driving for Andretti, if Sarah Fisher was on that team Fisher would be kickin' her butt. CB

All this "hating" is in good fun---any race that's clean and hard won is my favorite, I'd even give Stewart his due although grudgingly!
A friend/customer drives the hauler rig for Sarah's team helps set up the pits and works them race day too. All this while running a well known big truck repair shop here locally. Needless to say he has a great staff that fills in when he's on the road.
Sarah always made a good showing, I'm hoping she'll do as solid a job being a new mom and team owner. Her sponsor seems behind her, an accomplishment these days.
I will say the women who race anything along side the boys are NOT some dainty little flower girly-girl types----they're race car drivers, through and through. Even though Danica looks cute in photos watch her walk and listen to her chatting with other drivers---she's a tough chick for sure!
I forgot all about the nationwide race being on today, will catch the replay on espn in the early morning hours. Have seen the replay of the wreck several times on my FB page, though. Bad wreck for sure. Hope for a speedy recovery for every one injured.
