Cold starts
Hi I live in southeast ky and the winter here so far has been light to say but my f350 6.0 stock if I dont plug it up it will not run good till it gets warmed up and even with it hooked up it still sputters and bucks when you put the peddle down till it get warmed up them everything is fine. no smoke out of the pipes when it idles warming up but you can smell diesel strong .thanks and God Bless...

I had the same problem. Turned out to be my #8 injector was not coming on line for over a couple of minutes when ever the truck got really cold.
Put in a new injector and a Bullet Proof Diesel FICM. That fixed the problem.
They had to plug it into a diagnostic computer to find the bad injector.

Here is a link to the FICM test procedure https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/8...procedure.html It and a lot of other very useful information can be found in the tech folder. You can also check FICM volts using a set of gauges that can read live data like scan gauge II or one of the smartphone apps like dashboss for IOS or torque for android, they are an absolute necessity in diagnosing these trucks and anyone who owns a 6.0L should have one so you can keep an eye on things.

Ok after a little of my tinkering with it I took it to my local ford dealer
it turned out to be 3 bad injectors 2,6,8 not working while it was cold I already had 1,3,5,7 changed last year now I was towing my camper to myrtle beach and a ck engine light came on and my check air filter came on I changed the air filter and had the light check it was my EGR so they turned my light off and it has never come back on yet hope the airfilter caused it now time to get ready for my egr deleat .
