I have an 86 F250 I am restoring to be used as a tow vehicle. I have removed all the nasty side molding that I guess came on the truck.
I am left with the small mounting holes on the front quarter panels as well as both doors and some other unknown little holes. For some reason there are none on the rear.
How do I cover or fill or repair, GET RID OF these holes prior to paint. I have done a fair amount of research on the use of Bondo, JB Weld etc. I do not know how these products hold up in the long term.
I need some good ole experience to lead me in the right direction.
Obviously I want to do this on the cheap, but I will spend the money if I need to.
First sand them down to metal and use a metal prep to neutralize rust.
There are many different ways to attack this, welding being the first choice for me.
You can use body filler or fiberglass also but make sure to have access to the back of the panel.
