quick question about tow mirror converting

Will a set of tow mirrors from an 08-10 Super Duty bolt on my 01 F350 doors? I've got the dinky car mirrors now and can't see anything compared to my 08. Thanks.

Yes they will. You will though have to either change the plug on the mirror side harness or the truck side harness if you want o plug it back in normally. Otherwise...myself and a few others have just hard wired the new mirror.

Enjoy the new larger mirrors.... HUGE difference.

Do you mount the adjustment **** on the door also to fold the mirror, or does the 2001 **** work like my 2008? And I suppose the heat won't work unless I add the button for it? Thanks man.

Sorry... I have only done the electric mirrors. Haven't done manual to electric.
However.... the wiring shouldn't be that tough... just more than what I have done. I am thinking that you could probably get a panel with the control **** and swap it out with what you have now. Just try to get one with the pigtail so you have something to wire to.

I've got an '00 F250 and I just purchased the '08 style mirror and power extend switch off ebay. I went with the '08-'12 style switch given it has the power fold feature built in. If having a CC you'll have to add a power extend switch some place else as there isn't enough room given you have 4 window controls. Heat will need a switch added or it can be hardwired and basically one when the truck is on.

How it looked once cut out and installed:

A lot of guys have added switches to turn the heat on and off, others wired it to be on when the truck is on. I got a rear defrost switch from a 94 Explorer. It has a built-in timer so it turns off the heat after 10 minutes. I just mounted the switch next to the ESOF in the dash.
