New Tech Info on Pinging

New Tech Info on Pinging
Was cruising through some other Ford sites and I noticed a guy with a '00 Ranger Vulcan (38K) was asking what he could do for his pinging problem. After the Ford Tech told him to check the plugs, he added some tips I had never heard of before:
....the other things to check would be the g104 ground wire at the core support, source voltage at pin 4 of the ignition coil connector, and try swapping banks on the ignition wires at the coil and see if it doesn't smooth out. one last thing to check would be the pcm diode in the fuse box under the hood, they hav ea habit of not being installed completely and making poor contact. just recieved this info this morning from tech hotline
