I have a set of aftermarket coaxial speakers in my front doors that just don't sound quite right so i want to upgrade to components, my question is, is there a way to install 6 1/2's in the front doors without modifying the door or panel? i plan on installing the tweeters in the plastic covers that cover up the mounting hardware for the mirror, so it'll just be the woofers in the doors.

 

I am using 5.25 coax fronts, 4x6 coax rears and a 8 inch high power sub to make it all come alive. I will be hard to get any real bass out of the doors, so I set the crossover to have the sub take the brunt, and use the coax's more for mids and highs (although they do put out some bass). Having a good quality sub is the only way to make the bass (even if you are listening at moderate volumes).
