I know this post is almost a year old but I thought I wouls share my story regarding putting in a Stancor 586-902 relay .
I had an issue with my truck and the starting romps when cold . I did lots of reading and decided to swap in a Stancor relay . That cured my pro lem for a little bit but then the no starts and the romps came back . I was chasing electrical issues , thinking that was the reason the truck wouldn't start because the relay was brand new . To make a long story short , I took my truck into a place for them to diagnose the problem . They eventually tested the relay and found the Stancor to be bad after only less than a years use . They put in an OEM relay and it's been good since then .
I decided to check into why the Stancor could have gone bad . After looking into the parameters of the Stancor ,
it says the relay is rated for -20 F .
It gets colder than that up here so I guess I know now why it didn't last long for me .
