I too offer my help, instruction, comaraderie, willingness to share a frosty or two, and there are a number of members in NC, but it seems most are in the military and/or are several hours away. I've had a couple people stop by, but their time available was too limited to really get seriously into anything. I would love to have a like minded friend or two to work along side for an extended time.
I'm getting kind of lonesome here on the east coast, right outside Washington, DC. I used to live in Tucson, Alberquerque...man do I miss those wide open spaces....I heard on the news recently that the DC area is the most congested in the whole US. About the only time I came take a nice long cruise in whitey(my F1) is on Sunday morning early when there's nobody out yet or at church. It's so frustrating, it takes almost 45 minutes to drive to my job only 17 miles away!!!! I also lived in Madison, Wisc. Love the people, hate the weather.

I have a five minute drive to work, a 3 1/2 miles country road drive. Some times it takes longer if there's a train crossing the road. Once my drive was stretched to eight minutes, a mother goose and her babies were crossing the road
I will agree with half of you said about Madison. The weather there, same here stinks about 3/4 of the year. You're either freezing you but off or roasting it. The people in Mad City, a little too lefty and goofy for me.
My brother lives in Albuquerque and it is a long drive to Arizona from there. Next time I go see my brother I am going to have to meet Ross and Bobby. My brother always has a full size refrigerator (in his garage) full of frosty beverages. I have no problem sharing his! His place is in the Valley near 4th street and Rio Rancho Rd.
And Bob, if you were a little closer to Houston, a true flat land area, I would love to use your expertise and your tilt back.
Well, when you come to town to visit your brother drop me a line. I could sure help your brother clean out his garage fridge....lol
Bob, I will put an accurate location instead of my humorous one.
We have a spare bedroom now that the youngest is married off. It is available if ever you have a break-down in my vicinity, or there is no room left in the Inn. Otherwise, stop for a visit, especially if you are in your truck.
I have tools, but not much motivation or expertise. I am pretty good at watching others work, telling them how what they are doing is simply wrong, and how I would do it instead.
No frostys in the fridge, but will buy the first round or two at the brew-pub/ restaurant that is about a mile from my home.
Some of you may need to fill out an application with references...LOL

Gads, you sound like my father-in-law!! No way I'm going to travel 2000 mile for that!!

I'm happy you guys will be thinking of my.
BTW, if any one is headed for Bobby's place and will be passing nearby stop and pick me up. Only thing is the only frostie beer I drink is root beer!

Careful, I make house calls, Bob. May I have your father-in-laws contact info to show him this post? LOL!

I could give you his contact info but you'd have to take at least half a day to explain to him what a computer is and then the other half to try to get him to understand what you want him to do with it. He's not the brightest bulb in the pack especially when it comes to modern technology. Heck, I have a heck of a time trying to explain to my wife how to shut a window on the computer program. I don't know how many times I've showed her the little red box in the upper right hand corner with the "X" in it and she's a hundred times more technical savvy than her dad is.
I'll send you his contact information, some one else should have to suffer him besides me.
Let me add this, I am more willing to help complete strangers than to help the old man. I've tried, believe me, I've tried.
